Make a Difference and Get Involved as a Volunteer.

FHF relies on volunteers every year to fulfill our mission. Our various projects offer fun and unique ways for individuals and groups of all kinds to contribute their time, either long term or short term, talents and resources to connect with the community. We are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas:

  • After-school tutoring
  • Computer training (basic applications, networking, and web-design)
  • Computer network administration
  • Computer Lab
  • Mentoring
  • English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) Instruction
  • Administration

How to get started – It’s as easy as 1 - 2 - 3…

  1. Call our Volunteer Coordinator or drop by our Volunteer Centre.
  2. Return completed volunteer application with a resume and three current references (must be thirteen years of age or older).
  3. Attend an interview with a representative from the Volunteer area. This will give you a chance to ask questions, as well as give in-depth information on your qualifications and background. A Criminal Record Search will be required at no cost to the volunteer.

If you have a special skill you would like to teach others or a particular area you want assistance with, please call us today!

FHF is grateful for the donations we receive that help us to continue our valuable work.
