Family Heritage Foundation (FHF) is a Christian Ministry that has been serving refugee families since October of 2002. Located in the Willow Branch Apartment Complex office in Clarkston, GA. FHF offers after school programs to Elementary School age children and ESL and Job seeking classes to adults. Clarkston, GA is home to many refugees in the Atlanta area because of the low cost of housing and its access to MARTA.

The Willow Branch Apartment Complex rents mostly to families from more than 28 different countries that have been given legal refugee status by the United Nations and The United States Government. Many of the clients have left their war torn homelands due to severe persecution and abuse for political and religious reasons. They are trying to learn how to make a living in the United States. FHF office and classroom space is donated by the Willow Branch Apartment Complex, which is in close walking distance from the Indian Creek Elementary School. There are no fees for the 42 children who participate in the FHF after school program. They receive tutoring, help with homework, participate in recreation, receive a healthy snack and love before their parents come home from work. They are also taught life skills and character training. It is a great joy to see the improvement in their English Language skills and watch their grades rise.

Our Mission
The mission of Family Heritage Foundation is to help under-privileged children and their families by providing enrichment and outreach programs that meet their needs.

Our Vision
Every child is a gift to our community. He/she is tomorrow’s leader, the hope for our future, the strength and pillar of our nation. Every child deserves a safe haven, with responsive, loving care and opportunities that develop character and provide social equality. We believe it is essential to provide the fundamental needs of families in order for children to become successful. These families have a need for spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual development. We also believe that a safe community produces a healthy family.

In Family Heritage Foundation, we have a vision for safer communities, stronger families, and responsible youth. We work hard to ensure that our youth and their families have access to educational and enrichment programs. Consequently, these developed youth and families can work together to develop their communities and make them safer. As a result of more opportunities for social equality, crime rates and penury levels will drop significantly.

Every person deserves the chance to make his/her own dreams come true, and Family Heritage Foundation provides this opportunity.
